Sensory Groups
Fun, structured, and play-based group classes designed to boost confidence, social skills, and sensory exploration for every child.
Learning, Growing, and Connecting Through Play
Our Sensory Enrichment Groups provide a safe, engaging environment where children can learn and grow alongside their peers. Led by a pediatric occupational therapist, these small-group sessions are purposefully designed to be enriching for all children—whether your child is currently receiving 1-on-1 support and is ready for a social setting, or you simply want to give them an extra developmental boost.
Through guided play, messy sensory exploration, and cooperative games, we help children build the foundational skills they need to thrive in the classroom, on the playground, and at home.
Areas of Focus
What We Build Together
Our group classes focus on translating core developmental skills into a fun, social environment:
Social Skills & Peer Interaction
Practicing sharing, taking turns, listening to peers, and navigating the natural ups and downs of group play.
Sensory Exploration
Safely exploring new textures, sounds, and movements (like tactile bins and movement challenges) to help the brain better process the world.
Emotional Regulation
Learning how to stay calm, transition smoothly between different activities, and manage big feelings in a group setting.
Fine & Gross Motor Coordination
Building strength, balance, and dexterity through group obstacle courses, collaborative crafts, and hands-on activities.
Attention & Group Readiness
Strengthening the ability to follow group instructions, stay focused on an activity, and build the confidence needed for school.
Why Choose a Sensory Steps
Expert-Led Play
Every activity is intentionally designed by an occupational therapist to support brain development and physical coordination.
A "Yes" Environment
We create a structured but flexible space where kids are encouraged to get messy, move their bodies, and explore safely.
For Every Child
These classes are a fantastic, low-pressure way to support development beyond times of clear clinical need, offering proactive skill-building disguised as pure fun.
